Time to rest

Time to rest

I find it hard to rest. I don’t mean sleep (I sleep like a baby).
I mean just stopping, not having to work through my to-do list, and sitting comfortably without always completing tasks. ?

This has become more challenging over the last 9 months when I added running my own business, working as a GP appraiser, and completing a coaching diploma to my other work of being a GP partner.
My schedule sounds hectic, but right now, I’m truly passionate about everything I’m involved in. They say that if you find something you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life, and I can really relate to that.

That being said, I understand the importance of practising what I preach and incorporating some rest. When coaching clients, prioritising rest and helping them feel guilt-free about taking a break is crucial. It is a really important part of managing stress and leading a healthy lifestyle.
So as I pack my bags for a 2-week holiday, I am going to switch off from social media. ? ? ?
Even as I write that I get nervous!!!! ? (What if I miss a great opportunity? What if I miss the perfect post to comment on to grow things!) Sure, the algorithms and bots may not like me, but I know I’ll like me more for taking time to rest!

P.S. This holiday is a road trip in California with the family – so there is a “to-do list”. Listen, I’m a work in progress! ?
